OUTLINING Part 3 – When Should I Start Outlining?

OUTLINING Part 3 – When Should I Start Outlining?

Well, let’s see, for most law students we are through almost 4 weeks of course work, correct?  Then you should start outlining now.

“But isn’t outlining just to review for finals?” Yes, it is. However, it is also a great way to consistently review the material and make sure you understand how it fits together. And once your outline is done, you are better prepared to start writing – another critical piece of preparing for finals.

Many students review for classes once a week.  Why just review when you could be working on your outline? Think about this. If you outline all semester, you would have outlines done when it came time for reading days and finals.  Imagine all that free time you would have to practice your writing and study the law.  Tons of time, right?  Do you think that time is best spent practicing and studying instead of outlining? Absolutely. Does that make the difference for many of us in getting better grades? Absolutely.

To get started on your outlines, contact Amicus Tutoring and we can help.
